Abstract

The great challenge of modern societies is the ability to develop new ways of working collaboratively with the aim of building a common vision and action to solve complex public problems with a transformative logic. These changes require new transdisciplinary, multi-stakeholder and multi-sectorial approaches, and therefore, comprehensive, rather than on dichotomous approaches (Market versus State versus Society, competitiveness versus equity versus environment). This article substantiates the need for innovation in collaborative governance models incorporating deliberative processes of co-creation which generate public value to society
