Abstract

Introduction: Chronic kidney disease is a public health problem that requires the active participation of individuals who suffer from it to achieve good adherence to treatment. Objective: To carry out a participatory diagnosis to identify problems of patients with chronic kidney disease and their families. Development: a participatory diagnosis is made of the health perceptions of people with chronic kidney disease, their families and other actors, in relation to their care experiences, which allowed us to identify weaknesses in the interventions of health teams, education in health and mental health, with the priority problems for users being those related to health education and team interventions, from which solution proposals were proposed. Conclusion: The participatory diagnosis made it possible to demonstrate the importance of exploring the perceptions of people with chronic kidney disease during their care process, in order to guarantee care from a comprehensive perspective
